Students from 50 colleges participate in Vivekotsav-2017

Hyderabad: Vande Mataram Youth Front (VMYF) in association with Ramakrishna Mission organised Vivekotsav-2017 (Swami Vivekananda pre-birthday celebrations) at Badruka College, Kacheguda on January 8.

Around 800 students from over 50 colleges participated in various competitions such as essay writing, quiz, elocution, music and dance etc. Bhavan’s Vivekananda College bagged the inter college championship.

LV Gangadhar Shastri, singer, founder-Bhagavad-Gita foundation, who was the chief guest stressed on the need for proper utilisation of time. Taking inspiration from Swami Vivekananda, youth must also focus on contributing to nation, he said.
V Jagadishwar Rao, secretary, VMYF; Gita Murthy, member, BJP; and Malladi Pratap also participated.
