Adilabad: Forest and Environment minister, Jogu Ramanna inaugurated a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) in Adilabad Head Post office onThursday. He was accompanied by Adilabad MP, G Nagesh.
Post-Master General Colonel Eleesha, Chief Post Master General B Chandrasekhar, Regional Passport Officer Vishnuvardhan Reddy and Municipal Chairperson R Maneesha, Collector D Divya, and Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramanna said that State government is making efforts to expedite the process of issuing passports to citizens. He informed that people of not only Adilabad, but also Nirmal and Kumram Bheem districts would be benefitted with the newly created facility. He asserted that there is no need for public to travel to Nizamabad for obtaining the document.
Nagesh stated that fund of Rs 10 Lakh was released with the help of the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS). He said that the Centre would be created with all facilities. Vishnuvardhan Reddy opined that Telangana was in the top slot in rendering services of issuing passports in the country.
