Sports Minister Rathore inspects JLN Stadium ahead of FIFA U-17 WC

A sports ministry official said Rathore was satisfied with all the arrangements.

New Delhi: Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Thursday took stock of security arrangements at the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) stadium here, ahead of the much-awaited Under-17 World Cup, commencing here on Friday.

A sports ministry official said Rathore was satisfied with all the arrangements.

Colombia will take on Ghana in the tournament-opener while hosts India will lock horns with the USA in the second match of the day

The FIFA U-17 World Cup, being hosted in India for the first time, will conclude on October 28. The matches will be played at six different spruced-up venues.
