Skill development training programme at JNTU-H

Hyderabad: The College of Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad organised a one-day finishing school for ‘Developing the right attitude and career building’ for students.

Addressing the gathering of over 1,200 students on the inaugural function, JNTU-H Vice Chancellor A Venugopal Reddy emphasised on the importance of developing soft skills apart from acquiring technical knowledge. He added that the gap between the university and industry could be bridged through this finishing school.

A Govardhan, Principal of JNTUH CEH and the Chief Coordinator of the training programme highlighted the significance of right attitude and said that it was the essential quality for an individual to build character and thereby he/she could contribute constructively to the society.

Syed Noor Md. Shakir is the resource person of the Skill development training programme and he delivered the keynote address during the inaugural session. P Srinivasa Rao, Vice Principal; D Sreenivasa Rao, Coordinator, TEQIP-II; Directors of various units; Parvathi V, Coordinator and HoD, H&SS; and others participated in the event.

Best Poster Award for GITAM faculty

Hyderabad: Rakesh Kumar Rajaboina, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, GITAM University, Hyderabad has received the ‘Best Poster Award’ recently for his contribution towards to the new synthesis technique for the nanomaterials (nanowires). He received the award at International Conference of Young Researchers on Advanced Materials, IISc Bangalore held in December 2016.
