Pochampally Ikat Art Mela kick-starts in Hyderabad

Inaugurated by Ranjanaa Mishra, the exhibition promotes creativity and originality.

Hyderabad: Pochampally Ikat Art Mela 2017, a seven-days hand woven eco-friendly handloom products exhibition kick starts at  Kolanu Narayana Reddy Gardens, Nizampet Road, Kukatpally. Tollywood actor Ranjanaa Mishra formally inaugurated the mela and celebrity chef Ruchika Sharma light the traditional lamp.

On the occasion, Ranjanaa Mishra, said that “It’s nice to see various apparel particularly Ikat fabric, silk and cotton saris, to be showcased for the handloom fashion connoisseurs.”

“Promoting creativity and originality, each design is a result of individual artisan’s creativity which is influenced by the local traditions and cultures,” said  Chikka Krishna founder chairman of Pochampally Handloom Park. The expo will be on till October 10, 10 am to 8pm.
