KRMB to meet soon to discuss water requirement of AP, Telangana

Hyderabad: The Krishna River Management Board will have its meeting in the third week of this month to discuss the water indents of the two Telugu States.

The Board on Tuesday wrote to the engineers in chief of both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh requesting them to furnish the overall water requirement of their respective States for the water year 2017-2018.

It also asked for details pertaining to their water utilisation from all sources in the Krishna basin so far in the current water year. The board had a meeting of a three member committee on September 22.

The over drawals of AP from Srisailam was the main issue before the KRMB. All the members of the board including the irrigation secretaries of both the states will attend the meeting.
