IIT-Hyderabad to organise five-day Business Analytics course

There is a shortage of qualified data scientists who are adept in business analytics using ‘R’, which is a programming language and widely used among statisticians for data analysis, IIT said in a statement.

Hyderabad: IIT-Hyderabad is organizing a five-day certificate course on ‘Business Analytics using R’ from December 21 for working professionals at its Kandi Campus in Medak district.

There is a shortage of qualified data scientists who are adept in business analytics using ‘R’, which is a programming language and widely used among statisticians for data analysis, IIT said in a statement.

The course will cover techniques for market segmentation, forecasting and prediction, fraud detection and time series analysis.

“Big data analytics is a discipline which is changing our lives drastically. It is touching every area of human society from banking to health care. This course will be helpful for working professionals who want to master the area, says Prof. Sobhan Babu, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Hyderabad.

This course will be taught by well qualified faculty from IIT Hyderabad who are experts in fraud analytics and experienced data scientists from the industry.
