Hyderabad: Minister for Legislative Affairs T Harish Rao and the Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy came down heavily on the Congress party legislators for staging a walk out from the house on the very first day of the budget session on Friday.
Addressing the media at Assembly they said though all political parties had given their commitment to uphold decency and decorum of the house during the Governor’s address to the joint session, the Congress party had failed to keep its word. So is the case with TTDP, which voiced their protest in the house.
The two parties preferred to make a retreat from the house failing to face the treasury benches which are fully equipped to answer on any issues that came up for the discussion on the floor of the House.
The Opposition parties are apprehensive of the mileage being given to the ruling party because of the various welfare measures. They sensed threat to their very existence as the ruling party is going to make huge allocations for the welfare of the disadvantaged sections.
