Future Kids, St Pious girls book semis berth

Hyderabad: Future Kids School, St Pious School, Delhi Public School (DPS) Hyderabad and St Andrews School cruised into the semifinals with wins over their respective opponents in the girls section of the Basketball Federation of India’s School Basketball League, conducted by the Hyderabad District Basketball Association, on Thursday.

Navya was in top-form as she collected 12 points to singlehandedly take Future Kids to the semifinal with a 28-16 win against Johnson Grammar School. For the winners Hitha and Anuja also contributed with six points each respectively.

Meanwhile St Pious beat Atomic Energy Central School 16-9 to secure the semifinal spot. Rachita top scored for the victors with seven points. Atomic Schools’ Krishnaveni also displayed excellent game, grabbing seven points but could not save her side form losing.

Ishika, who bagged 16 points, led DPS Hyderabad’s attack and was the major contributor in the side’s 32-10 comfortable victory over HPS Begumpet while St Andrew’s School accounted for All Saints School.
