Elaborate arrangements made for SCCL polls in Telangana

Peddapalli: Elaborate arrangements have been made for the much awaited elections of Singareni Collieries Company Limited scheduled to be held on Thursday. Besides Singareni management, police officials have made tight security arrangements to conduct polls in a peaceful way.

A total of 52,534 workers are going to exercise their franchise. Voting will be held between 7 am to 5 pm in the evening and counting of the votes will be carried out after 7 pm. SCCL management has arranged 92 polling booths in eleven areas of the company.

Workers who wanted to exercise their votes should approach polling booths with their employee identity cards. Counting of votes of RG-I, II and III will be held at GM office community hall, Godavarikhani.

In the wake of tough competition between the ruling Telangana Boggu Ghani Karmika Sangham and opposition alliance, Ramagundam Commissionarate police deployed 1,019 members of security personnel in its limits in Ramagundam Region and Mancherial.

Of that Assistant Commissioner of Police (8), Circle Inspectors (13), Sub-Inspectors (34), ASI/HC (133), Constables (385), Women Constables (43), Head Constables (123) and special party police (280) have been engaged in the duty.
