Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday announced that the State government would facilitate the setting up of a dedicated Korean Industrial Park in the State.
Addressing a business meeting in Seoul on the first day of his trip to South Korea, the Minister showcased Telangana’s investor-friendly industrial policy and infrastructure availability, He urged the 100-odd businessmen to take advantage and invest. Rao, particularly pitched for investment in electronics, textiles, life sciences, automotive, machinery and precision engineering sectors.
The meeting was presided over by Vikram Doraiswami, Indian Ambassador to Korea and Sock Soon Yoon, Secretary General, ICCK. The Minister assured all possible help to the Korean investors in the State.
The Telangana delegation led by the Minister also interacted with senior leadership team of Samsung Electronics, including Sang-Mo Yim, Senior Vice President and Peter Rhee, Vice President. He extended an invitation to the Samsung officials to visit the State and look for the investment opportunities in the areas of electronics and medical devices manufacturing. Rao, who also visited Samsung Innovation Museum, invited them to invest in the proposed Medical Devises Park coming up near Hyderabad.
