Nirmal: The decomposed body of a man, whose severed head was found in Bhainsa town on March 9, by sanitation workers clearing garbage, on Sunday found in a room at a commercial complex.
According to the Bhainsa police, the deceased was identified as Mohammad Israr, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, who was believed to have been aged between 30 years and 35 years. Israr was a clothes seller and had rented a room in Nirmal where he used to live with another person, also believed to be from Uttar Pradesh. The police established the identity of the deceased when some of his relatives contacted the Bhainsa police after coming across pictures of the severed head that was doing the rounds on some social media platforms, V Srinivas, inspector, Bhainsa said.
Police found Israr’s decomposed body in the room he had rented after the deceased’s relatives provided the address. The police said the body has been shifted to the Nirmal government hospital for postmortem.
Srinivas said Israr’s roommate, yet to be identified, was missing and could be an accused in the crime.
