Hyderabad: Pilgrims visiting Kohe-Moula Ali Dargah, Malkajgiri will now be able to drive their vehicles till the mid of hilltop, as the first phase of the ramp has been made open to public.
Moula Ali Dargah, attracts large number of visitors from various communities in the Country. The rush of visitors to the Dargah increases during the Wiladat (birthday) of Hazrath Imam Ali.
This year too, officials in-charge of Dargah maintenance said that people from across the globe would arrive to participate in the celebrations.
The State government increased the pace of construction and repair works of the shrine, and, the first phase covering 230 steps is almost complete while the second phase is all set to begin soon.
On Friday, Altaf Hyder Razvi, Member of Legislative Council (AIMIM), along with GHMC officials and other government officials inspected the construction activity at the Dargah.
“As of now parking arrangements for 50 four-wheelers and 250 two-wheelers are in place on the hill top. Around four to five lakh people will be visiting the Dargah between April 11 and 14 to participate in the special programmes here,” said Altaf Hyder Razvi told ‘Telangana Today’.
The foundation stone for the construction of the ramp was laid in 2014, however, due to a host of reasons, the works had started a year and half later.
The GHMC authorities then reworked the project and invited fresh tenders and restarted construction works.
